One of the most recognizable Ethnographic film makers

Macedonian ethnologist, PhD in visual anthropology, museologist, film director, screenplay writer and camera operator of ethnographic films. The author of over 25 films and 1500 hours of field materials. The founder and director of the KraTFest International Festival of Ethnological Documentary Film. Visiting professor in the field of visual anthropology.

He rereads rites and customs, particularly the rituals with masks, carnivals, and blood sacrifices (kurban). He records, interprets, and disseminates the richness and specificity of Macedonian everyday life and festivity all over the world. He co-creates international scientific and film projects, performs at international film festivals – his films have been selected in numerous international festivals of anthropological films, i.e., Serbia, Romania, Estonia, France, Poland, Russia and Italy. He participates in many international conferences, writes articles and monographs devoted to visual anthropology and the issues of the ritualization of life. Moreover, he is the author of many ethnographic exhibitions all over the Europe.

Coordinating Anthropological Film Festivals in Europe

Upcoming Events

The Festival aims to promote visual ethnology/anthropology, to present different approaches to ethnological/anthropological film making, and to animate dialogue between the authors and spectators.
